Hellier and Greenfield

Anyone with an interest in the paranormal will likely have heard of the documentary ‘Hellier‘. This show now in its second season, has the following premise,

“In 2012, Greg Newkirk received an email from a man calling himself David Christie, who claimed that he and his family were being terrorized by unearthly creatures by night. After exchanging emails, David disappeared. For the next five years, the case only got stranger, as more connections and mysterious emails came in. Then, in 2017, Greg and a team of researchers traveled to rural Kentucky, not knowing what they would uncover, or how deep they would discover the case might go.

As the team continued to investigate, it got drawn into a number of areas like ufology, nature spirits, strange synchronicities and much more. Everything seems connected. Occultists have suggested that the series is actually a ritual in which all viewers and actors participate.

Allen Greenfield

In season 1, episode 2, we are introduced to a book – The Secret Cipher of the Ufonauts by one Allen Greenfield. Indeed, the book and Allen become central to the swirl of events through to the end of series 2. Greenfield is an ex-high ranking OTO magician and ufologist who is now experiencing a little fame and a run on his books.

But who is Allen Greenfield? What is his involvement in the Hellier mystery? and why does his theory that UFO’s Cryptids and the occult are all one and the same thing resonate?

I thought I would find out and booked Allen to peak with me for my Magical World of G. Michael Vasey podcast series. The result is a fascinating conversation that covers the OTO, Ufology, The origin of the cipher and its use, The identity of the mysterious Terry R. Wriste and synchronicities around Hellier…..
