Time to Awaken?

Increasingly of late, I have been despondent with what I see going on around me… the politicization of science, the misuse of science (it doesn’t prove anything but create theories), the rise of poisonous woke ness and ideas that are just based in some utopian fiction, the constant barrage of opinion as news, and the erosion of our freedoms with what apparently seems the blessing (if not the demand) of half our number. Then, as I started to write something about it here, it hit me. What a blessing for humanity! An opportunity for many to awaken spiritually and change the world in which we live. I forgot that there are two sides to everything – positive and negative.

As we approach the Winter Solstice on 21 December, few people can by now be unaware of the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter. Actually, if you follow astrology, that isn’t the end of the wondrous things happening in the heavens. I’m not an astrologer and I have little expertise in the topic but I can see and perhaps more importantly, feel, that a change is coming and fast. According to some, we do now truly enter the age of Aquarius. I’m an Aquarian and so I see this as both good and bad as well. The thing is that something is afoot and the veil feels very thin.

I know that people have all kinds of axes to grind and that everyone sees this period as a result of or happening to change whatever it is they have an axe to grind about. For me, I have no firm ideas and no glimpses of any future to share. I don’t think my axe grinding has much to do with whatever is occurring either. I just think that with the way things are, everyone has the opportunity to awaken a little from the sleep of life.

I do believe that the individual is the center of everything. The changes will happen at the level of the individual and thus, will change groups, hierarchies and affiliations. I think that to an increasing number of people it is obvious that the worldly forces that control are corrupt and self oriented. We may not necessarily agree on how to change things but many sense that change is needed.

I think we are facing a schism as well. Between those for whom spirituality is the essence of life and those for whom there is nothing but things. This is not a left vs right wing thing either. The attempted dismissing of religion and spirituality has reached a crescendo and it comes from the worldly powers it seems to me. To cut people off from the spiritual energies is to cut us off from the source. Yet we see this from the Communists of China through the PC and woke left of the USA and even to some on the right where there is only hard cash.

This is happening at a time of huge stress on everyone. The news cannot be trusted. Governments cannot be trusted. Nothing much can be trusted. This forces me to look inside myself for the divine – the one thing – and to listen more closely. It draws me to the goddess ever closer and closer for I trust my Mother. As a PhD trained scientist, I marvel that I write such words. Yet, I intuitively know them to be truth. I sense that growing numbers of others feel the same way.

Strangely, I recall reading quite a bit of Rudolf Steiner at college. If my memory serves me correct, he predicted this. He predicted the coming of Ahriman. “Ahriman is the demon of intellect, worldly knowledge, science, and technology. He offers us mastery of the physical realm, but he also lures us into excessive materialism and soullessness. His impending incarnation hangs like a hellish threat over modern life. He warns us further that “In order that the luciferic inspiration might be lifted away from its one-sidedness, there came the incarnation of Christ and with it the impulse for the education and development of European civilization and its American offshoot. But since the middle of the fifteenth century, since the impulse for the development of individuality, of personality, has been at work, this phase of evolution has also contained within it certain forces whereby preparation is being made for the incarnation of another supersensible Being. Just as there was an incarnation of Lucifer in the flesh and an incarnation of Christ in the flesh, so, before only a part of the third millennium of the post-Christian era has elapsed, there will be, in the West, an actual incarnation of Ahriman: Ahriman in the flesh. Humanity on earth cannot escape this incarnation of Ahriman. It will come inevitably. But what matters is that people shall find the right vantage point from which to confront it.”

Steiner points out that Ahriman has pros and cons to human evolution. But he warns that ‘soul death‘ can follow for those who go too deep in the material world. He even saw a vaccination that would essentially kill the spiritual urge in humanity for those vaccinated. While I am no believer in conspiracy, there is a video going around purporting to be Bill Gates explaining how a vaccine can be used to eliminate a gene that is associated with spirituality and religious extremism…… who knows if its real or just someone with an axe to grind but…..I’m not pushing Steiner’s view of the world but it is an interesting viewpoint and it is also interesting that Steiner and his Waldorf Schools are increasingly a target for that woke, post-modernist neomarxist left as well.

What interests me is rather than being in a state of disbelief and anger at what is going on, I can now shift to become a voice of encouragement to those who are awakening. This is much better for me spiritually and hopefully, I can aid a few who wish to move forward and escape the deepening consumerism, materialism and concentration of power in a few people and corporate hands.
