Far Away is my most played song on Spotify. The riff is something I used to play all the time from about 1977 but never really did anything with until I recorded this track. The lyrics are stream of consciousness meaning I recorded myself singing whatever came out. I then re-listened to write the lyrics down to sing harmony.

Funnily enough, having never used the riff, I used three varieties of it on the album The Anatomy of Love! Far Away, Keep Your Head UP and Cold-Hearted Girl are all based around this riff… Can you tell?
