Games for Stupid?

Have you ever thought why people vote for the opposition in a perpetual exchange of one party for another always believing it will be different this time? I quite voting decades ago when I realised that all I was doing was perpetuating a corrupt system and people who were only in it for themselves. I tell people not to vote because it only encourages these ego-driven people who become politicians. Certainly, if you are going to vote, why do you think one of the two parties will behave any differently than last time? Vote for an independent or a small party and break the system down. The system is designed as a game for stupid people to partake in isn’t it? Sad to say but our democracy is a sham. A two-party system is simply one hue or the other of the same establishment that hates you.

It struck me today it is the same with the stock market. It’s up, it’s down. People buy high and sell low cos they panic. You know what, if you can’t afford to lose the money, you should not be investing in those instruments at all! The number of times, I have seen people I respect panic at a crash and start selling at a loss is beyond belief. Yet, 6-months or so later, its all back to higher levels again and all they managed to do was pass their wealth off to someone else for very little effort. Again, this is games for the stupid isn’t it?

I can think of numerous other examples. They think we are stupid. It’s all a game and we all willingly play. We play stupid.

  1. Hello from the UK.

Very sensible post, thank you very much. As regards stupidity I wrote the following should you be bored.

The follow up is funnier however.

    Kind regards

Please excuse the nom-de-plume, this is as much for fun as a riddle for people to solve if they wish.
