In the UK, I have banked with the Halifax. I have never found it easy to do business with honestly. Its website is a mess and customer service a joke. I put up with it because I barely used the account. And then Halifax decided it would become a woke political organisation pushing pronouns and other such bull. Seeing that a very vocal group of customers were upset at this, it doubled down and said we could close our accounts.
Well Halifax, I moved my money this morning. I changed all payments to go elsewhere and I just wrote my letter telling you to get stuffed.
Go woke, go broke.
It’s changed a lot in the last 30 years. Back in the 80s, my friends and I felt safe at the bars at night. Not anymore. Too many immigrants, whose religion treats women like cattle. If I never go there again, I won’t miss it.

Know Halifax well…. or I did back in 1981 to 84…. Knew Sydney better. Did my PhD fieldwork there.

You had my attention with “Go to Hell, Halifax”. Halifax is the largest city in Nova Scotia. I feel the same way about it as you do your bank. In fact, I pronounce it Hell-o-fax. I suppose most cities are like it. That means I hate all cities. While companies are losing money with this nonsense, I wonder what they are being paid by government, organisations and wealth individuals (who want to control the world) to promote this garbage.
